Placements end early and no one explains why

Clients terminate early with "not a fit" and that is all you get.

What it costs you today

When a placement ends before the contract term, the client says "not a fit" and considers the conversation closed. You lose the revenue, lose the relationship credibility, and have nothing to give the candidate or fix for next time.

How RadRoot is used here

RadRoot sends the hiring manager a five-question adaptive interview the week before an early termination is final. Questions probe reliability, skills match, communication style, and whether the spec was accurate. You get a written verdict within hours.

The file you would upload

A Bullhorn ATS - Placements Report export. One row is one contract placement. RadRoot reads the whole row, so every question can name something the person already knows is true.

One interview, exactly as it ran

Six options every time, including the ones that reflect badly on whoever sent it. Each question was written after the answer above it landed.

Q1Trevor Walsh's placement as Quality Engineer ended on March 17th after five weeks. What was the primary factor in ending the assignment early?
Q2You mentioned the role required more independent decision-making than expected. How often did Trevor need guidance on prioritizing his work?
Q3Given the daily guidance needed, was the expectation for autonomy clearly defined when the role was originally scoped?
Q4Looking at the gap between assumption and documentation, would you consider another candidate from Vantage Talent Partners for a similar role if the scope were better defined upfront?
Q5When scope or priorities shifted during Trevor's five weeks, how effectively did he communicate what he needed from you?

The verdict it produced

Written for whoever ran the campaign. The respondent never sees it.

Trevor met the technical requirements but the job spec undersold how much independent judgment the role demanded. Daily check-ins were needed to clarify escalation decisions, and the client never documented the decision thresholds they expected him to know. Sandra is willing to work with Vantage again if the intake process captures autonomy and decision authority more explicitly. Trevor communicated status well but did not ask enough questions when scope changed. This is a spec problem, not a performance problem.

spec accuracy negative high confidence

The job description did not adequately communicate the level of independent decision-making required.

autonomy fit negative high confidence

Trevor required daily direction to determine which quality issues warranted escalation.

scope clarity negative medium confidence

The client assumed familiarity with internal standards but never documented decision thresholds.

rehire potential positive high confidence

The client is open to working with Vantage again if autonomy expectations are detailed upfront.

communication quality mixed medium confidence

Status updates were clear but Trevor rarely sought clarification when requirements shifted.
